Little z, lately..

To know this little boy of mine is to know happiness and zest for life. From the moment he wakes up until the moment he goes to sleep he narrates his entire day through. He talks and talks and talks, complete with hand gestures.

He can even say I love you mommy now, but it sounded more like “La-voo mommy!”. And lately he's been playing pretend so he would talk in high pitched voice and back to normal voice vice versa as if he's having a conversation with me. He's really been trying out phrases too, and surprisingly, is getting good at it. The other day he dropped his cup, and said “Oh my, what did I do?” I, of course proceeded to melt to the floor.

Favorite past times are anything involving cars, buses, fire trucks, little cars, tractors, balls, big cars, tiny cars and almost everything with wheels.

Seriously. It's so funny how he's so into mobiles. And this brings me to his latest favorite past time: naming letters of the alphabet and numbers.

Three months or so ago, he saw Word World and ever since then, he's been fascinated with alphabets. He'd run around the house, finding any toy alphabets that he could find and hold on to them the whole day. And just last month, it's the same episode all over again, but this time around with numbers. Now, at 21 months old, he can name all the letters from A to Z, and the numbers from 1 to 9. Mommy writes it down, and he'll say it out loud. It’s all very impressive.

Though he's happy most of the time, he has his tantrum days, but I wouldn't call it tantrums though, cos they're very minor and we wouldn't really understand what's upsetting him even.

I'm sure it's just one of the many lovely things that comes with having a child in the house. And he’s just beautifully quirky in his own way and we wouldn't want to change a thing.

I can't wait to see what a two year-old little Z brings, much less tomorrow.
