The Lounge @ GTower

Having met this girl once at an event, I was completely taken aback when I found out that she's a food blogger. Cos really, if you've ever had the pleasure of meeting her real-life, you'd know how insanely cute and petite she is. So, it all seemed so ridiculous for me to fathom. And while I am still contemplating whether to have that last piece of chocolate cake, she goes all around town sampling and doing food reviews..

Ah, the injustice.

But in between feeling sorry for myself (and my thighs), I just couldn’t say no when Rebecca informed me of an invitation to join her and a few others for a Buka Puasa Buffet experience at The Lounge Restaurant, GTower KL. It was my first time there, and what struck me most was that, the whole space really has a lounge feel to it, aptly reflecting its name.

The buffet spread features traditional delicacies from all across the peninsular and at a price of RM80++ for adults (and 50% off for children aged 6-12 years old), diners can expect an extensive menu of local favorites which varies on a daily basis. From rendang to nasi minyak to satay to roasted chicken to roasted lamb and to many other dishes you can think of -- Chef Johnny (main chef of The Lounge) always makes sure everyone is spoilt for choices.

And I know I don’t usually say this, but I can confirm from my experience that the food really, really lived up to my expectations. I definitely foresee myself and my family paying them another visit anytime soon!
